I wouldn't call these "limits" per se, but it is probably a good rule of thumb as a point where the degradation begins to rear its ugly head. This will open a file browser window that will allow you to browse image.
HOW TO OPEN CS PHOTOSHOP IMAGE INTO PHOTOZOOM PRO PRO
Last, there was a recent article in Digital Photo Pro dealing with this where they came to the conclusion that a 6MP max upsize would be about 16X24 which is similar to the PS seminar conclusion. Of course, I've also used Qimage in Pyramid mode and tried the incremental mode (a la Miranda's SI Pro plug-in). I have personally done this both ways now and printed the results at home at 13 X 19 and can honestly say, the one-step process works just fine. Conclusion: PhotoZoom Pro is the ideal solution for enlarging digital images, both for printing and on-screen purposes. The example given was to take the original size image, reset the resolution in PS to 360 and the proper ratio print size, all in one step. Also, PhotoZoom Pro 3 supports layers, 16 bits/channel (including Raw) and 32 bits/channel (HDR) images and, last but not least, a very wide range of image file formats. The new thinking is to do it all at once. It was also stated (and I've seen this elsewhere) that the new thinking on upsizing is NOT to do it in steps or 10% increments as is generally accepted.

However, I got the impression that this was very nearly a reasonable limit. They did not state this as a limit, just as being entirely possible and acceptable. One was the a 6MP image from a "good" DSLR can be blown up to about 16 X 24. Just for another perspective, I recently attended the NAPP Photoshop for Photogs seminar.
